That’d be me — Richard Marmo, modelbuilder, reviewer, and occasional chaos engineer. If it’s been molded, cast, or glued, odds are I’ve got something to say about it.

Now that we have that out of the way, welcome to Marmo's Model Shop, a new website whose purpose is to help you become better modelbuilders. 

First, a little information about yours truly.  I am a freelance writer/professional modelbuilder, have been since 1967 and live in Kilgore, Texas with my wife Nelda. 

While my first love, as far as model subjects go, is aviation/aerospace, I’ve written about and built models of almost anything you can name, from aircraft to architectural, trucks, science fiction and subjects you can't even imagine.. 

Over the years I’ve produced some 700 or more (I've lost count) magazine articles and review columns, well over 1,000 - 1,500 models for companies and collectors and have photo illustrated everything with several thousand photos, using both film and digital cameras.

I have three print books to my credit, several burn-on-demand CD-ROMs that are being converted to USB drives due to the slow demise of CD-ROMs, twenty-four modelbuilding guides and photo galleries to mention a few.
