This might not be the cleanest file drawer you’ve seen… but dig a little and you’ll find modelbuilding gold.

Over the last several decades, I’ve authored five regular review columns and more freestanding articles than I can count. Those columns appeared in Popular Aviation, Internet Modeler, Model Car Science, Dollhouse Miniatures, and Toy Farmer.

This site started as an online extension of those columns — a place to share reviews, opinions, and articles for fellow model builders. It’s an amalgam of those earlier efforts, combined with new material I’ve created just for this space.   And fair warning — as this site evolves, you’ll start seeing blog posts, affiliate links, and assorted surprises showing up wherever they feel at home.

Here’s how it works:
On this site, you’ll find a thumbnail image and a brief description for each product I review. Each thumbnail links to a dedicated page (or pages) where you can read the full review. Some kits may get a simple review, while others might turn into full build articles or multi-part features with progress photos.

You’ll also start seeing occasional reviews of my own products — like my B-36 ebook series — along with articles, opinions, and other bits and pieces of model building lore. If it’s something a model builder might be interested in, it belongs here.

A few notes:

  • The site’s design and structure will likely evolve as it grows.

  • A Links of Interest page will eventually show up with links to model-related and maybe some not-so-model-related content.

  • While there’s no direct comment section, you can reach me at tennexican at gmail dot com with your comments, questions, and complaints. I’ll post a selection of them — unedited except for profanity or obviously inappropriate content (this is a family-friendly site) — along with my response.

Thanks for dropping by, and enjoy the site!
